Well, from my understanding, the difference between biradaris and castes (i.e. Hindu) is that biradaris are basically tribes of sorts.
No one is really superior to another (although some might think so), none is/was really restricted (read: forced) to any particular profession (eg. merchants, farmers, soldiers). Most people in one biradari adhered to one profession simply because it was easy to inherit it from the family, not because society forced them.

Again, that's my an-parh understanding of it. If some parhe-likhe arkaan-e-pdf want to correct me, they are free to do so.

Well, Gujjars here do get along with jats and jutts too here in Delhi and UP, i myself have many friends who are sardars,jats and jatts. Well i have never been to punjab so dont know what he is talking about. But in Delhi,UP,Rajasthan,MP we rule

The Arains of Sahiwal point out that the were Surajbansi Rajputs, originally settled around Delhi . Arains of Ghaggar valley are also said to have been formerly Rajputs living on the Panjnad near Multan . The Arains of Hissar also claim Rajput descent .

Funny because if you google Bhutto it says rajput but if you google his father it says Arain lol.

I know many Sindhi Bhuttos and they themselves claim to be Rajput and dismiss any relation with Arains. Since I maintain a good distance from business associated with casteism, so I am literally ignorant at history pertaining castes. Don't have my own opinion based on history.
