What is possible is the three countries signing a no attack treaty for 10 years with no interference in internal matters including j&k, with option to renew at the end of the treaty. That is better than fighting for decades with no gains.

Expect another such hodge-podge in the parliament. I see another parliamentary alliance coming to power..........The military will not be taking over for at least 3 years in any case. If they take over now, the people will say that they blocked IK's path to power, if they take over after the elections (and after IK doesn't secure 2/3rd majority), the new govt will complain that they weren't given any time to bring about changes...
