What the new Iran-China partnership means for the region

.
We as Pakistanis are very happy with this development. Iran is our brother and we will work together. Even if the Americans or the West disapproves.

Developing nations never disapprove European Union or white countries forming unions. It is only white nations that always have objections to developing nations working together.

Excellent news

Trump is finding out the hard way that pressuring Iran is a recipe that will only end in failure.
no, you misunderstand how Trump does business.
if one of his lieutenants isn't up to the task, then he/she is encouraged to step down, to make room for someone who *is* up to the task.

Saudi Arabia calls for extending arms embargo on Iran
Thu, 2020-08-13 14:21

DUBAI: Saudi Arabia’s UN ambassador called for an extension of the arms embargo on Iran in a session on Thursday, Saudi press agency reported.

“Iran smuggles weapons to militias which destabilize regional peace,” Abdul Aziz Al-Wasel said during a conference held in Geneva.

Al-Wasel called for an extension of arms embargo on Iran, which is due to expire on October 18, and said allowing the Islamic Republic to buy weapons will increase their hostile activities in the region.

The US-sponsored resolution only got two "yes" votes, falling far short of the nine it needed to be adopted. China and Russia rejected the proposal, while Germany abstained.
The UN Security Council on Friday rejected the United States' calls for an indefinite extension to the arms embargo on Iran.

Shortly after the result of the council's vote was announced, China's UN Ambassador Zhang Jun said the outcome "once again shows that unilateralism receives no support, and bullying will fail."

However, US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo criticized the rebuff, saying in a statement: "The Security Council's failure to act decisively in defense of international peace and security is inexcusable."

Opposition to embargo
The US-sponsored resolution was opposed by China and Russia. Eleven members abstained, including Germany, France and Britain, while the US and the Dominican Republic were the only members to back the proposal. To get approval, the resolution needed nine "yes" votes.

The embargo on Iran is set to end in October this year, under a provision of UN Resolution 2231, in which the Security Council backed the nuclear deal between Tehran and a group of world powers.

The five permanent members of the Security Council — the US, the United Kingdom, Russia, France, and China — all endorsed the agreement in Vienna in 2015. Germany and the European Union also signed the landmark deal.

ICBM most likely. She will get the ones with a longer range to force US carriers to be further from Iran

.
UN embargo is about to go, UAE and KSA will be under more pressure to buy more arms from the US and Israel. UAE and Israel deal appears to be in Iranian background, Iran will buy more military equipment so do KSA. The US is going to have a good opportunity to make money. OIl money has given full support to the US economy in the past and it will continue in near future at least that is sure in the present scenario in the middle east. Iran and KSA rivalry is proving to be the best Israel and the US can think of to extort more resources from Arab nations.

China is the biggest bully of them all.
And a bunch of liars.

Replace China with USA in your sentence. It will sound more truthful.
the USA is open and direct when it applies force,
China is sneaky and back-stabbing when it does so..

i forgive you, since you're new to this forum, and probably to the art of understanding the hidden meanings behind the world's news headlines too..
