What stops USA from occupying Pakistan?

In absence of puppets like Musharraf and Zardari, what will stop USA from occupying Pakistan?

The reason is that there are too many pplz to kill in here plus China is at our back too and US can't afford to mess with China that will be a nightmare for the US......

This scenario is very fatched... but if the USA ever threatens such a thing... China may prevent it.

We need Pakistan's help to keep the US out of the region. In their cussedness, the region will go up in flames otherwise.
