He's coming to give a speech + Q&A session at Atlantic Council. I barely managed to rsvp on time but got it somehow. What questions if any do you guys have which you want answered? Obviously there will be much rush so all can't be addressed but let's see. Should be an interesting event. Atlantic Council's South Asia division is by far one of the most outspoken pro Pakistan and most pragmatic of thinktanks in Washington DC. Will keep you posted.

Ask him if he has any plans of retiring from politics thus giving us Pakistanis a chance to fix the sh!t that he created over 9 years. Also ask him that by law he should not be allowed to contest the elections after ruling for 9 years then why has he bought himself a political party.

Whether the "R" in general (r) Musharaf stands for retarded.

On a serious note, when is he going to man up and accept the wrongs that he have committed while in power. And also when will he sincerely apologize for giving us zardari.

Musharraf Out of Step with Pakistanis

Former Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf’s nose might be out of joint about President Barack Obama’s decision not to visit Pakistan on his trip through Asia, which included a three-day stop in India.

Mr. Musharraf told the Journal in an interview that: “One would have preferred that he should have gone to Pakistan to give due importance to Pakistan, which is fighting extremism and terrorism in a lead role and being a strategic partner with the U.S. on this issue.”

But Pakistan officials, including Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani, say they are satisfied with Washington’s explanation that Mr. Obama doesn’t want to bracket India and Pakistan together and will visit Islamabad on a separate visit in 2011. Even Pakistan’s broadly anti-U.S. media has made little of the India trip.

Some in Pakistan argue that Mr. Musharraf, who faces possible judicial charges at home for treason and is living in self-imposed exile in London, is out of touch. He recently launched a new political party and wants to one day govern Pakistan again, but it’s unclear how large his constituency is at home.

Given his problems, Mr. Musharraf is currently on a global lecture tour – much like former Thai Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra, who also lives in self-imposed exile in London and Dubai – in a bid to build up some momentum for his return to Pakistan.

Mr. Musharraf has some support in the West as a leader who cracked down on al Qaeda leaders in Pakistan. But at home, people point out that he allowed many India-focused militant groups to remain active and he ruled Pakistan with an authoritarian hand, including changing the constitution to reinforce the president’s powers, before being forced to resign in 2008.

What we need to do with Mr. Musharaf is what Argentina and Chile and many others like them did with their Junta leaders so that no one would dare to mess up the country any more.

ASK him:

When Americans threatened us, that they will send us to stone age, did Musharraf knew that Pakistan is a Nuclear Armed country? not some veitnam or iraq or afghanistan to be threatened like this?

Or he found the opportunity to earn some easy bucks too much intimidating?

Ask him when he allowed the US to carry drone attacks on Pakistan soil, being a soldier where was his honour, valour, self respect?

Ask him, Are you a coward? why you ran away from Pakistan, keeping in mind him calling Nawaz Sharif a Coward for running away to Saudi Arabia?
