What is this Indo-Scythian peoples?Friends please clear my doubt

.
but whats wrong having interest in genetics?

Nothing.

Living by them and considering others to be 'meager' than yourself is called racism. There are plenty of them over here...
Scythians were a civilization not a race, they had their predecessors like the Persians, Persians had predecessors like the Babylonians and Babylonians were the first civilization of the modern social structure, where humans started to live in functional communities.

All of us have the same parents.

I never said i consider some one lower because of their genes. Genes are a part of us you cannot ignore it. There is nothing wrong in studying genetic history of humans. It is very interesting to me but maybe not to you.
Scythians were a group or a confederation of different tribes so of course they were not all the same. Yet they shared same religion, cultural practices and war styles styles.

Exactly. Genetically similar Central Asian groups have been migrating into India for a long time. Depending merely on cultural differences, they've been classed as Aryans, Scythians, Hephthalites, Turks, etc etc.....

Bottom line is that we all came from a cave. :coffee:

O' Mere bhai, i'm not talking about 'you'.

Linguistically Pusthun people speak Eastern Iranian language which shares similarity with Ossetian spoken in Northern Caucasus. Genetically speaking they are similar to the rest of Iranic populations.

Pashtuns are said be originated from ancient Iranic Paktha tribe.

Anthropology and genetics interest me too, purely because I am fascinated by this tectonic shift in our present lifestyles brought about by the decisions of our forefathers. Human history is one of migrations, but look at where such migrations have landed us today! Groups who were once blood relations are now dispersed in lands as diverse as Kazakhstan and Sri Lanka. :-)

After the Gupta empire destroyed the Indo Saka kingdom, we really dont know what happened to them. But they were integrating heavily into Indian civilization before that.

Scythians

They kept their hair long and unshaven, wore trousers, long sleeved tunics/coats, nomadic, etc.

Very different from contemporary Indians. Clean shaven, turbaned, chest bare, etc.

There was a cultural clash of sorts when they met. And also integration later on.

There are different theories regarding the origins of Pushtuns. Pushtuns themselves invaded from norther parts ancient Bactria. Saka/Scythians also invaded this region. Pushtuns are a mixture of these people including Hephthalites.

One of the oldest references of the sakas could be found in the inscriptions of Darius I around 600 B.C. The Nakshi Rushtam inscriptions refer to three branches of Sakas and their vassals. But for the early Saka history, we are largely indebted to the ancient Chinese chroniclers.

According to Matwan Lin encyclopedia and first Han dynasty history, the Hiung-nu defeated the Yueh-Chi and Sai (the Sakas) went south wards to live in ki-Pin or kafiristan (Modern day Nuristan province and it's adjoining areas in Afghanistan). It appears that two branches of the Sakas lived close together in the Drangiana-Seistan region (Modern Baluchistan) and the third one lived in the Russian steppes, north of Black Sea. Perhaps around 165 BC the Southern Branch of Sakas, after fighting the Bactrian Greeks settled near Helmund valley. With passage of time more Sakas continued to arrive from Central Asia and slowly pushed towards North West India through Hindu Kush and Sulaiman Ranges. The Kharoshthi and Brahmi inscriptions, it's quite evident that the Sakas and Pahlavas intermixed with each other frequently.

The Kshatrapal houses (derived from the Persian Kshatrapavan or provincial governor) of the Sakas can be divided into two branches, one the Northern Satraps of Taxila and Mathura, the Western Satraps of Maharashtra and Ujjain being the other. We have come to know a lot about these Satraps from the discoveries of silver coins of the Nahapanas near Jogalthambi,Nasik and the Rudradamana inscriptions of modern Ujjain.

The cognates are unmissable, aren' t they? The Indic Kshetrapala surname may have come from one of their lineages.

Yes, the similarity is quite obvious to prove the intimacy between the Scythians and the East Iranians.

I think the Kamboj people in India are descendants of Indo Scythians.
