You may be right, but these regimes, the Ba'athists, have done some pretty gruesome things. In no way am I removing the suspicion from my mind and everyone else's that there has been some creative intelligence making, but the Syrians, and the Russians who are so strongly with them, or the Iranians, or even the Turks, don't inspire confidence.
