What is it like to be a soldier / sipahi?

Do most join military as a soldier with passion or with majbori?
What are the key points that a recruiter may have in mind while interviewing for a soldier post?
Don't you think most people give more priority to pay, facilities, shaadi, family relatives me izzat than analyzing whether they fit in and can serve military better as a soldier or an officer?
