i am posting this because some Bengalis think tank is not suitable for Bangladesh terrain and some other non sensible things that they say... nonetheless this should be a factual video for all to enjoy.

You need to visit northern BD right now. Except for the roads and houses built on elevated lands, every thing is under water
You won't be able to steer a boat in that, leave Tank Alone.

However Those submerged lands are very suitable for Jute production though

No one said tank goes through water without preparation. I get what you mean. But why would anyone put a tank in water anyways.

Well, Tanks can be put anywhere in any terrain. Hitler proved it by rolling his tanks in thick forest near French German border which the French thought impenetrable.

I am just saying Tank Battle will be costly in BD Terrain. They won't be able to use elevated roads to avoid mines and ambushes. Movements will be slow in Marshy Terrain.

I agree but that too depends on whose tanks you're talking about.... if indias t-72s then they will be slow, Bangladesh's t-59s will also be slow but rubber padding and powerful engine pack on some upgrades can help it through on par with t72. T-90ms will have least problem because of its mediocre terrain resistance and high horsepower. Just a few examples.
------
More like guderian proved it on the maginot line of the French. Hitler succeeded until he listened to his general like guderian and Rommel... when he started listening to dumbass like goerig is things became shitty.

Also tanks like panther and tigers bogged down because of their interleaved roadwheels not because of the weight. The mud froze which bogged em out. (Facts for some who didn't know)

. . .
Tanks can be used anywhere but delta country like BD and Indian Bengal are not idea tank country thus have limited use. High population [built up areas], ditches, marsh all make nightmare for tankers. Light tanks might provide some benefit.

However if your thinking of large armoured formations forget about it.

your question is what is a tank well as per militarry records the term was deviced to confuse german spies in WW1 as it was some kind of field water tank for the horses as the first tank was made in a factory that specialiesed in making metal water tanks for diffrent uses :coffee:

as for delta nation like bangladesh well you need light tanks with much wider tracks and lower ground pressure deu to soft and loose/moist soil

That is why we had PT-76s rolling around there.

Terrain should support tank movement. Sure tanks can go anywhere but in the jungles and marshes on of Bangladesh they'll be sitting ducks for anti tank weapons. Case point Vietnam!

Rubber padded tracks wider track is not necessarily beneficial. Light tanks medium tanks and heavy tanks are classification of the past. Modern armor is light but provide adequate protection like heavies... like mentioned. MBT class of tanks however solve previous problems faced by tanks.

Steel Ocean And War Thunder All the way
World of tank for a brief time. Now world of tanks blitz.

btr-80 kind of vehicles for the modern world eh?

That is happening in places like Ganga delta and sundarbans... I don't see tank warfare happening there... but I think more on north west central and eastern parts of Bangladesh. South eastern is also not bad.

Those Pershing and Patton were in no way tanks with good terrain resistance

Hmm.. sir I am not aware of technicalities. But what common sense dictates is that tanks should not be taken where there can not use their mobility. Be it built up areas or marshy terrains where they might bog down!
