Sajjad Lone was fighting for Kashmir’s independence from India. Just why did he give up his demand overnight? What has he been paid or offered by Indian intelligence agencies to turn pro-India?

Nope. I will tell you the likely scenario. The folks from Indian intelligence must have argued and convinced him by saying something to the effect, “Look we encourage cross-LOC trade and we have also given you so much autonomy. What we have given you is practically same as what you are demanding. We have given you de facto independence. The only difference is in terminology and nomenclature. When the trade across LOC flourishes and the trade routes like Srinagar-Muzaffarabad, Kargil-Skardu, Jammu-Sialkot etcetera becomes active, future generations of Kashmiris will wonder, ‘What was the dispute about? What was the conflict about? Made mountain of a molehill.’ If you still insist on literal independence, it may lead to disintegration and balkanization of the subcontinent paving way for Western colonial rule which would probably be bad for Kashmir as well.”

Moreover they must have also pointed out the situation in P0K.

The 2010 agitation was his LAST struggle ; it ended badly for Kashmiris

Doesn't mean you sell out your ideals and ambitions.

I'm sure deep down he still desires freedom, he's married to the daughter of Amanullah Khan, a major figure of the separatist movement & close friend of Maqbool Butt

He has realised the futility of the struggle

It is like breaking your head against a wall

After the 2010 struggle ; many Kashmiris realised that

1 India cant be defeated

2 Pakistan cannot help them ; it is too weak to take on India

3 The WORLD does not care about Kashmirs [ Including the OIC ]

4 Kashmiris have many economic oppurtunities in INDIAN cities
such as Delhi Mumbai Bangalore Pune etc etc etc

Actually they haven't changed their minds at all.

1.Eventually it will, sooner or later there will be a referendum like in Scotland
2.Pakistan will always help them no matter weak or futile, Pakistan will keep the issue alive in public eye
3.World cares about nobody but capitalist businessmen, every nation fights for it's survival, they know this better than anybody
4.Doesn't mean anything, they may have even better opportunitiesin Dubai,Doha, or Malaysia, or even Lahore, doesn't mean they will change their ideals; they may work in a Indian city like how a New Zealander may work in Australia without changing their identity.

Best solution is that India gives Kashmir the same status they give to Nepal.

all Kashmiri public figures are on RAW or ISI payroll, sometimes shifting between the 2..

Kashmir is a lost cause, we should quit fighting over it.

The best way to grow the area is its ultimate unconditioned annexation into Pakistan. There is no other way.

Lust for power and land wont work on us.

Hmm, really then are americans, chinese, saudi's are doing charity for pakistan ?. If it is not for lust for land then why covet kashmir, afghanistan cry hoarse about junagadh, bangladesh. Why not take all those terrorists in kashmir to pakistan itself ?.

There is one word for such things hyper hypocritism.
