What's new

What has driven the Turkish UAVs "crazy" in the Aegean ?

We obviously wish for peace, between us and between Turkey and Greece and for relations like in the days before Erdogan,
Yes, the 90s were very peaceful years between GRE-TR. It is very nice to see such comments by PDF experts in regional geopolitics.

I am talking about Israeli Turkish relation, not Greek and Turkish.

.
Keep on dreaming. Israelis have never actually made a step together with you to harm Turkish interests. They even said that themselves during the recent visit in Ankara. There's not one Greek project that has been materialized with the support of Israel. They will not act against Turkey for you and no amount of propaganda is going to change this ground reality. Even Americans and Europeans have came to the conclusion that no project in the East Med can be realized without Turkish consent.

Like I said, you're stuck in a dream that will never come true.
Apparently the Israeli anti-UAV system at the Greek defense material exhibition that I showed in a previous comment was aimed at other customers, eg.....Australians!!!
Keep going like this, and everything will be fine....for Greece.

I feel like you understand what I'm trying to point out here but somehow you're unwilling to wrap your head around it on a public platform like this. It doesn't matter, though. The facts remain the same.

Some Turks are beginning to realize that things are not so simple for the Turkish UAV.
Time for the Turkish members of the present forum to realize this as well. It is known that where there is ACTION there will be REACTION.
The Turk on Twitter is also talking about lasers, which in my opinion has a way to go in terms of large UAV, but of the kamikaze type, the system has them like...french fries.

Lasers are a huge threat to UAVs, but within 5-10 years most modern armies will be equipped with it.

The problem with lasers, is that they need a large power source, which is not easy with today's data, not even in the short term future.

I disagree, a power source is the least of the worries. The hardest things to do is stabilization system to keep the laser on point (the slightest of disturbances at a distance of over 10km can cause the laser to not keep on point), keep the laser very thin and concentrated to shorten the time for penetration. Range and power are also difficult.

Americans said that the biggest problem is the power source, in terms of SWAP,” (Size, Weight, And Power)....
Beam is the second......
