What happens to the massive arms casches found in Pakistan?

Those that conform with standard arms of various agencies should be pushed into duty. Pakistani police i k ow are seriously lackimg in sharpshooters and sniper rifles so they could use these. Others should be disabled an used for sting operations to catch criminals and terrorists or destroyed.
The process of going through each gun would cost quite a bit of cash, you may as well buy a brand new gun.

No professional military or law enforce agency use dud weapons. US military don't even use their left over ammo, once issued.

Depends on condition of the pistols guns rifles etc. They may look ok from the outside but insides of such weapons may be rusted due to poor way the militants and criminals handle them.
I know the ammo in sealed cartons is reused.
I'm sure these weapons are sorted according to their condition and are then auctioned. The poor conditioned weapons are destroyed. There is a lot of corruption also.

Auction process is usually very slow, anything found like vehicles rust in stores for years then sold in scrap. Need to speed it up making a mechanism.

What if auction money is distributed among the staff who capture it. Will work as an incentive.

I know for a fact that army and rangers circulate such weapons (in good condition)... Seen plenty of weapons (formerly owned by terrorists) in use with army & paramilitary.. Even the weapons seized from MQM HQ are now in use by Rangers.. Also seen Russian AKs & PKMs in use with the army..
