What Does It Mean to Be Muslim in India? A MUST WATCH

. .
Muslims should get educated, that's the only way to move up the ladder.

.
Its not discrimination its competition. Had Muslims been the more educated and industrious they would be the leaders and the Hindus the followers.

Islam ruled India because Mulsims were ahead of Hindus in organization and education. You can't say that in the present.

It's an uphill unachievable task for them, they cannot get higher education because they are poor and because they don't get higher education they remain poor.

So it's a vicious cycle...an unending thing.

With no quota like sc, st, obc and Dalits.

No positive discrimination...unlike other lower castes. Most of the time it's negative discrimination for Muslims of India.

So what do they do, they end up being marginalized and suppressed....and since they are marginalized they have the lowest social strata in India.

So all in all they are caught in this grinding unending cycle with no chance to come out of it.

While education will alleviate Indian Muslims from poverty and provide opportunities for economic advancement, it will *NOT* put an end to the hatred they face from the majority in India.

The Jews in Germany were the most educated and richest community. It did not save them from the genocide perpetrated by the Nazis.

The Muslims in Bosnia were well educated, socially integrated and largely irreligious. It did not save them from the genocide perpetrated by the Serbs.

The Tutsis in Rwanda were well educated and in prominent positions. They could not save themselves from the genocide perpetrated by the Hutus.

The educated class were exclusively targeted by Mao (in China) and Khmer Rouge (Cambodia). Millions were killed.

Education is important in a civilized society for social and economic progress. Education will not protect you from a society hell bent on unleashing a genocide.

There is free and compulsory education until matriculation. Negligible amount to reach higher secondary (11-12th) and there are open universities where you pay a very small fraction of what you can earn to graduate without going to college (you only need to write exams and submit assignments/projects) you can work full time. Now, Muslims have one of the highest high school dropouts in the country even worse than Dalits or Tribals, the lowest literacy rate among different groups, low matriculation rate. Why? Most of the public schools are subsidized by the government you get a free noon meal and rice, egg, milk. Then there are scholarships that are exclusively for Muslims, reserved seats in government colleges under OBC reservation. Minority institution that admits them.

It's an uphill task if you are educated in madarsas. We have the examples of legends like Kalam sir and many others who have achieved great things in life because they don't go the mullah way.
No nukes, no freedom......
You want to get nuked to freedom?

They seems to be opting for Madrassa education as it is free education, free meals and some other perks, societal benefits...

The high dropout rate from schools tells us that they are disillusioned and hopeless and believe that they will not get some kind of Jobs if they gets to the professional colleges, and it also tells us that due to the poor income it is not possible that household can be run and Muslim students have to discontinue their school education or college education and starts supporting/supplementing their home through work to make both ends meet.

The reason you see lots of Indians commenting that Muslims(Indian) are uneducated and they ran small Kariana stores, the puncture shops, Sabzi thelas, street food, and very small business enterprise without any big money needed.

And this is certainly a grinding, vicious circle...a crippling one.

Need some big change to come out of it.

The main reason which I feel which kept the muslims back wards was muslims themselves.when you can can't afford to take care of a child I have seen families with 4-5 kids in the past but things are changing ,now a days I don't see that I see muslim families with hardly 2 kids and many families with 1 kid.now you go to decent schools you find healthy number of muslim kids and you go to any private company you will find good number of muslims working specially in call centers and climbing up the ladder, atleast that's what I see in the south.

Now you are inventing reasons. People don't stop going to school thinking,' hey I'm not gonna get a college education so why go to school'. It's a matter of priority or mentality. 80% of the Indians were extremely poor when we got independence and they went from extreme poverty to becoming at least lower middle class in a generation or two. This is also not the case with Muslims everywhere in India, certain states where Muslims prioritized education now live in much better situations than anywhere else.

What sort of argument it is!!
Otherwise, they should be harassed, not provided opportunities for job , and even their small businesses should be boycotted. They should be lynched on the assumption of anything to do with "Cow Meat"!!!

What happened to those who are already educated , already moved to the highest social ladder!!
More than one "Bollywood Muslim" stars have said, they cannot buy or rent flats/houses in Mumbai.

Stop the BS. India is a vile society. Indians are the worst human beings walking this earth.
Instead of blaming the victims, look in to yourselves and your society, which profess that you should not touch, eat and have any contact, physical or social with 30% to 40% of your own lower casts Hindus.

You are racists to the core.

No social benefits in India for doing a madrassa education.

While you Indians talks a lot about Muslims are backward, has this ghetto mentality, has 6-8 children, poor and uneducated, as to show concern, empathy, sympathy for Indian Muslims.

And the next moment, you people cannot hide the glee and happiness of seeing and talking about Indian Muslims being uneducated, backward, ghettoized, compared to Hindus in India.

Dichotomy is unmistakable...
