It's really funny that they made out that social credits was evil, yet in the UK we now having COVID passports that control your movement and now the govt is proposing taking away passports from drugs dealers/users as part of their punishment.

All great things instantly become great evils after having a China tag onto it. The west had totally lost it.

i saw a video of french police checking covid passes whilst people were eating.

The cultural difference between the east and the west, We can see the respondents all first think about the benefits that the society and the country may get, all are ready to do their part to give up some personal interests for the collective common good .They all believe what they give will be rewarded with much bigger gains by a healthy society.

This is how nations become great. Britain used to have this thinking - not anymore. Pakistan still does not have this thinking.

Brainwashed westerners believe that Chinese people never dare to criticize the government not knowing that making fun, criticizing and mocking the government is argubly the most popular pastime in China.

As far as I understand, constructive criticism is welcome in successful East Asian cultures. What is seen as problematic is this politics of criticizing government in power just because one is in the opposition.

Then it becomes a game of power grab. Which recycles itself, in a spiriling-down fashion.

A colonial or imperial country with fresh resources from overseas can sustain such a luxury. But a colony-less country which has to rely on its domestic resources can hardly benefit from it. It either stays underdeveloped or stucks in middle-income trap. It never can have chance to equal or surpass developed West.
