yeahhhh this is the one. Good memory.
My favorite plus Ae Dil-e-Nadaan
Another evergreen.
Yes you have deep voice- apt for poetry.aayee zanjeer ki jhankaar'... kabban mirza's is deeper than me ( ) :
Thanks for the song.this is him performing "aadat" live in "comedy nights with kapil" :
Atif Aslam Performing live "Aadat" in Comedy Nights With Kapil - Watch or Download | DownVids.net
a good performance
Yes I do.waise, don't you remember his "fictional" love story thread??
Thanks I heard those songs.'ae dil-e-nadaan' is a eternal song... khayyam's beautiful music and lata's voice and the entire visual setting.
it feels so nice when hema raises her hands to the sky and the voice goes high and the words say "kya qayamat hai !!".
and towards the end is the line "iss khudaai me ek tu kya hai" and reminded me of the famed three last wishes of alexander the great.
three other songs i like from the film :
1. 'aayee zanjeer ki jhankaar'... kabban mirza's is deeper than me ( ) :
Aayee Zanjeer Ki Jhankar Song from Razia Sultan (1982): Listen & Download
2. 'tera hijr me naseeb hai', again by kabban mirza... available in the playlist from above.
3. 'khwaab bankar koi aayega'... available in the playlist.
this film, razia sultan, is politically relevant today for various reasons... it must be remade with actors from afghanistan, pakistan, india and bangladesh, but with razia's abyssinian bodyguard, jamal-ud-din yakut, played by a real ethiopian this time.
thanks to you i am listening to "tera mera pyar amar" after a long time... it was in a "various songs" collection on a cassette that i would listen to many years back and then forgot about it generally... and today was the first time i listened to it fully ( meanings and all ).
and sadhana looks so pretty here, without her "sadhana cut" fringe hair-style.
and this is so coincidental that this song has dev anand and today i was reading his autobiography 'romancing with life' that i got only last sunday but had read only two chapters since... today i read more.
----
below are some songs you both may like :
4. 'mausam beeta jaaye', from the film 'do bigha zameen', a film of social/political relevance whose hero was the real-life socialist, balraj sahni... the song has russian folk melody :
mausam beeta jaye - YouTube
5. 'mera bulbul so raha hai' :
Song - Mera bulbul so raha hai....movie - Kismat - YouTube
someone had posted above song as a way of testing me... was it irbis??
6. 'roz shaam aati thi' :
Roz Shaam Aati Thi... Magar Aisi Na Thi - YouTube
7. 'roz roz aankhon tale, ek hi sapna chale'... this was in the suggestion list of previous song and i know this song from quite long and love it... mandakini was such a beauty and the singing is superb plus the great music composition by the one and only 'boss', r.d. burman :
Jeeva - Roz Roz Aankhon Tale Ek Hi Sapna Chale Raat - Amit Kumar - Asha Bhonsle - YouTube
thank you.
another favorite.
if only i too can espy on a bunch of ladies singing romantic songs among themselves.
"mast zulfon ki siyah raat kise pesh karoon"
"garm saanson me chupe raaz bataoon kisko, narm honton me dabi baat kise pesh karoon"
nice !!
and please listen to my above posted songs.
Yes you have deep voice- apt for poetry.
But you said I sound like a kiddo and that I have a struggling quality(whatever that meant ).
Yes I do.
It's okay, it was written well. And everyone reads such mushy stories when they are teenagers so let's spare him.
Thanks I heard those songs.
I must confess I heard those songs for the first time except ae-Dil-e nadaan.
one progressive film ( i think we can call it that ) was 'arjun' of sunny deol... a realistic film of 1985... you may know this song from it, 'mamaiya kero kero kero mama' :
Mamaiya Kero Kero Kero Mama - Arjun (1985) - Satyajeet - YouTube
youthful energies devoted to the good of society.
when i heard of sunny's new film, 'ghayal again, i thought he should have remade 'arjun'.
Lolhain?? i never said you sound like a kiddo,
Thank you.and about "struggling voice" i think i must have used "wavering voice" and that i meant in a appreciative way, a voice that can convey emotion nicely... teaching is a good place for such a voice.
leave that jerry alone
