World's No. 1. Hi-tech & fully automated ferry in the year of 2013.

MADE IN BANGLADESH by Western Marine Shipyard Limited.

ISEF JORD is a hi-tech & fully automated ferry built under class. Newbuilding of passenger ships require great proficiency considering the highest standard & 100% safety compliances. Bangladesh being an emerging & very infant shipbuilding industry, it was a great challenge to have taken initiatives for building such sophisticated ship. ISEFJORD consists all the advanced technologies of a passenger carrier. The ship is fully automated, she can operate from both end having dual operating system in its bridge. ISEFJORD is capable of rotating 360 degree from a fixed point. Systems of the ship could also be monitored & controlled from cellular phones & laptops which is considered the most sophisticated marine technology in today’s date. Further the ship could be operated by only two men for having the highly advanced marine equipment in it. To be mentioned ferries which ply in Denmark are of best quality & Denmark is known for selling similar ships to other countries in the world. In-fact Bangladesh used to import ships from Denmark in the past and delivery of ISEF JORD will add a new achievement in the shipbuilding industry of Bangladesh. The ship has been built under class Bureau Veritas & approved by the most stringent maritime administrator “Danish Maritime Authority”.

not for bangladesh navy, Navy has different requirement

Bangladesh Navy has already built many small OPVs and FACs locally for the last thirty years - of which some of the latest are shown below. The larger modern yards here have expertise to build frigates and corvette hulls up to 10,000 tons displacement.

1. Ananda Shipyard, a leading local shipyard built four Bangladesh Coast guard fast attack craft (OPV) in 2006 (about 31m long, 25 knots, P101~P104). The lead ship is CGS Porte Grande (first image).

2. Some 250 ton class FACs were planned and built by the Navy (seen below P261~P263 Aparajeyo, Adamya, Atandra & P312, P313 delivered last year). Middle images. More to be built.

3. There are plans to build six or so 650 ton class FACs from Chinese designs (P813 BNS Nirmul & P811 BNS Durjoy already commissioned). See P813 and P811 images fourth and third from last.

4. Some 1500 ton 056 class corvettes are planned too (last two pics).
