Balochistan government would organize a week-long provincial level cultural festival titled "Colours of Balochistan" at the Ayub Stadium Quetta from third week of April.

ISLAMABAD, Apr 6 (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - APP - 6th Apr, 2019 ) :Balochistan government would organize a week-long provincial level cultural festival titled "Colours of Balochistan" at the Ayub Stadium Quetta from third week of April.

The festival was aimed to promote art and culture of the province.

Senior official of Balochistan cultural department and member of an organizing committee of the festival Zeeshan Wasif told APP that preparations were in full swing.

He said artists and artisans from across the province would participate in the week-long event.

� � � �He said sportsman and folk musicians would also participate in the festival from all the districts of the province.

Folk artists would present folks songs and perform in cultural shows during the activity.� � � � � � � � � � �"The festival aimed to encourage the new talent and promote the soft image of the province through such cultural festival," he said.

� � � �He said traditional food court would be part of the week-long festival. He said the stalls of traditional foods of the province would be established at the festival.

� � � �He further said a photo exhibition, handicrafts, industries and cultural shows would also be arranged at the festival.

� � � � He said the Balochistan government was taking various steps for promoting culture and arts in the province to encourage new talent by arranging that kind of activities and government would also provide more opportunities in feature to polish their talent.

� � � �He said the government was focusing on channelizing creative opportunities for students through imparting them training to enable them to preserve their cultural heritage.

� � � �He said the government has also planned to organize more cultural events in the upcoming years across the province to engage the local artist and creating healthy activities in the province.

� � � �Professor Abdul Qadoos Kakar said artists were playing a big role in portraying soft image of the country and the government should organize such cultural events at school and college level to create interest and enhance awareness among the youth of the province.

He said teaching cultural curriculum at institutional level would help understanding among the people about universal language of arts and culture.
