If Bengali Muslims in India want to have more babies, then what can Bangladesh do? Look brother, we Bangladeshis are happy with our nation. We have no problem with South Indians, North Indians, Tamils, Marathas, Kashmiris or anyone.
We already have an agreement. If India can provide proof that a Bangladeshi citizen is living in India, our govt take those people back after verifying. We are not interested to create an enemy.

India is already diverting water from common rivers it need and as much as it could. Things can not be anything worse than what already is. Bangladesh has enough rivers of it's own and we are only partially dependent on river water(mostly for irrigation) coming from India. We have 700 rivers, 53 of them coming from India. You can not dam all 53 rivers just to punish Bangladesh in the absence of practical use of that water within India.

Army operation inside Bangladesh is not possible. It will be resisted irrespective of outcome.

Vietnam already secured enough with US military presence in South East Asia. Plus Vietnam itself is a militarily powerful country capable to protect themselves from any Chinese adventure. They beat China in 1979 war. They do not need Indian base. Neither India can mimic every effort of China like setting foreign military base at adversary's backyard. Economic, diplomatic and military power gap between China and India is still huge.

Restricting trade route is also not possible. Blocking sea lane is an act of war. It is unlikely unless India and Bangladesh goes for full scale war. And blocking sea lane is only effective in a long, protracted war which is increasingly rare in modern times.

If India start selling weapon to Vietnam. China will start giving weapon to Pakistan and Bangladesh several times of that amount. It is a race India can not win against China.
