What's new

We have no authority to enter Pakistan, US parameters only surround Afghanistan: Pentagon

Why not Pakistan just hand her nuclear weapons over to USA or Israel and completely remove any traces of Islam that remains in her...if you want her to officially recognise Imposter Israel? Then Pakistan's image will be fantastic!

But on a serious note is there anything Pakistan can do or develop to deter a possible existential threat from a power like the USA? I am not sure but Russia and China have the means to deter an existential threat to them, no?
Brother that was healthy debate to discuss different scenes and have nothing to do with any harm. We were discussing different possibilities. So chill

Of-course, Pakistan is not an easy target by virtue of being a regional nuclear power - never claimed otherwise. Virtually any opponent will think twice before taking its chances with a regional nuclear power be it Pakistan or North Korea but this doesn't imply that we can defeat US in a war (or) they will not win decisively in an all-out engagement. I have offered a simplistic explanation of what to expect - I don't feel the need to delve into dirty details because they have a demoralizing effect on some readers here. Being a researcher, I am privy to certain developments and have access to sources of information outside the reach of an average individual.

Yes, losses are expected in a full-scale war with a regional nuclear power. However, American objective is to win this kind of war with 'acceptable losses', and they will.

It shall be noted that some of our most capable weapon systems are in testing phase and/or mere tech-demonstrators at present. Testing does not imply operational readiness.

Actually in Iraq, Syria and Afghanistan, we see that US now fail to contain any land and that is very big question mark and when it come to Pakistan, our people are more dangerous then others and that is the point which scares everyone

@My-Analogous

Your calm demeanor and discussion-friendly aptitude is noted. Few have the mindset to carry these kind of discussions with maturity. Really appreciated.

American mission is not to colonize these countries but to reform them; towards this end, they toppled Taliban-led regime in Afghanistan [circa 2001] and Saddam-led regime in Iraq [circa 2003] in order to pave way for 'democratic reforms' in these countries respectively. Additionally, they want to make sure that these countries will not turn into incubators of "terrorism."

US committed a large force* to occupy Iraq during the period (2003 - 2009) and another** to occupy Afghanistan during the years (2010 - 2013). Troops levels remain low otherwise.

*100,000 troops (and above)
**60,000 troops (and above)

FYI: http://www.derechos.org/nizkor/iraq/doc/costwar1.jpg

Keep in mind that large-scale military deployments (and operations with high-tech equipment) in distant lands are logistically-intensive and economically costly commitments.

---

We might offer resistance to an 'occupying force' but not in organized manner. Individualism has taken roots, spirituality factor is in decline and huge number of people are into luxuries these days. We do not have shortage of sell-outs either.

Some observations:-

1. Wherever TTP arrived, it managed to subjugate locals easily.
2. Criminal elements terrorized Karachi for years.

Not impressed.

Conversely - I don't think that a foreign entity would enjoy its stay in Pakistan for indefinite period. Humanitarian crises might skyrocket and prospects of provincial splits might increase tenfold. Nation-rebuilding might not be an attainable goal here, accordingly.

Islamabad has a 10,000 soldier barrak for US army , pretending to be a embassy :o:
Why was this allowed

a) Becasue of cancelled F16 deal
b) Becasue of delayed Zulu
c) Becasue of lack of OHP 3 ships

Not sure why this embassy of this size is allowed to be established
