You are right on the first highlighted part and wrong on the second. Modi and BJP in general are cunning and every move by them is calculated and only improves their perception. The currency ban move was a masterstroke. He hit multiple targets with one stone. He can now claim to have taken step to tax the black money also it bolsters his tough image. It will also help BJP in upcoming Uttar Pradesh elections. Apart from these, the Indians banks are burdened with bad loans and this move have brought the necessary deposit to give loans.
Love him hate him but cannot ignore him. I am not an ardent supporter of Modi but I admit he is the best we have and trust me, if it is necessary to abrogate the IWT to win election, Modi and co. will do that. Pakistan should hope that such a situation does not arise.
