I think dogfighting will forever be part of future warfare. Auto cannon rounds can't be fooled or jammed. In the future, it is expected to paint laser on enemy plane and shoot laser guided auto cannon rounds. Easier and don't have to worry about angle, speed, drop. You can see how hard it is to aim auto cannon with today's auto cannon.
