What if USA packs up from Afghan tomorrow morning ? Will pakistan be happy with the change or do they continue to fire against Afghans? What could happen??

i think ull probably see Pakistan dancing. all the tension at pak-afghan border will settle down. also public sentiment will improve as no one will then see GoP as one supporting americans in killin muslims.

well, that's not likely to happen in the near future. the Americans have seen and experienced firsthand the consequences of leaving Afghanistan unstable in the past and they are not likely to repeat the same mistake again. the seriousness of the American involvement in Afghanistan can be seen by the high level of American engagement of Pakistan to keep Afghanistan stable. the incoming Obama administration has also made it very clear that they intend to continue with this policy and pursue it with renewed vigor.

The Americans have got this wrong. They don't understand the differences between Afghanistan and Iraq.

agreed. even in iraq they had to come to terms with those who were fighting against them. all theri military hardware failed to achieve the victory. same is happenin in afghanistan except afghanis are not even willing to talk. they dont want to be puppets of US after these invaders leave.

Pakistan should have a strategy that in such case of US withdrawal Afghanistan’s Pushtun areas should be merged with Pakistan and Uzbiks and Tajiks can rule those areas where they are in majority i.e. western Afghanistan.

yup. in simple terms. india's honeymoooon period in afghanistan will come to an end

this will only be acceptable to pakistanis. i would prefer afghanistan and pakistan becomin one country. both independent but with one centre. exactly wat we were about to do during 1960s.
