Hello everyone
I lived in a retired air force officers colony and today I woke up with a F6 jet parked in front of my house. At first when I saw twin engines from the back side I was confused which jet is it. Because I thought PAF never had a twin engine fight jet. I am sharing some pics ,after seeing the squadron symbol of eagle claw on tail please tell me which squadron it is and currently which jets are in service in this particular squadron. Thanks

. . . . . . .
yes it was twin engine

Powerplant: 2 × Wopen WP-6A afterburning turbojet engines, 25.5 kN (5,730 lbf) thrust each dry, 31.8 kN (7,160 lbf) with afterburner
Interesting facts
Sometimes I feel how ignorant I am.
according to information available on google search it is j6 of china with twin engines and more maneuverable than mig21 during dogfights
May be more maneuverable but overall this jet was worst. The poor ejection seats killed many PAF pilots. And I can confirm what I am saying because my father served as a air traffic controller in PAF.
Eject,Eject,Eject but the ejection seat was jammed on the other side and the mother Earth was approaching fast. What a horrible moment.
But the cannon was 30 mm most powerful and accurate at best.
Yes, they are. Gotta love this painting.

The first time i realized that it was twin engined was after seeing this painting.

PAF has Martin-Baker ejection seats installed in its aircrafts.

PAF kept on flying this kachra till 2001. this shows how handicapped PAF was in kargil war. flying F6s and A5s.
what do you know about A-5 ?

Yes the F-6 was a twin engine jet, in fact it was the first twin engine fighter to enter PAF service.
The F-6s in PAF service were very distinctive machines.
The aircraft was designed by Russians built by the Chinese, it was wired by PAF engineers to fire American Sidewinder Missiles, the pilot sat on a British Martin Baker Ejection seat, it carried French electronics and countermeasures and fired 30mm projectiles produced by POF.

That as pointed out by the members here is an F-6C, Pakistani modified J-6, which itself was a copy of the Soviet Mig-19. This particular airframe belonged to the No.23 "Talons" Squadron.
