Was Donbas' independence referendum on May 11 legitimate?

Yay or nay?

I say it was because Donbas is too different from western and central Ukraine. Hardly anyone in Donbas prefers to speak Ukrainian. Almost everyone in Donbas is Russian orthodox. Donbas was part of the Russian empire for hundreds of years and only being part of Ukraine for 22 years.

Yeah, it was. There's practically no reason to say it wasn't, except that the West doesn't like it.
