Generally people from low social strata and low social status/caste convert partially for upward social mobility and partially for economic reason,zajiya was the important reason for conversion yet majority of Dalits remained Dharmic or Buddhist.Now why would a high caste person would convert.

As for Bnagladeshi they are considered Mallecha (outcaste) a status worse than dalit,they even look different from Indian dalits.At best their ancestors were tribal Animist.

Aurangzeb the Great was the best Mughal ruler. It was during his time that an Indian empire reached its zenith.
Also Vishwanath temple was despoiled by Hindu rebels and was hence not Aurangzeb's fault. He even built temples from state treasury. It is the recent Hindu terrorist movement that tries to give a bad name to Aurangzeb, who was, as we know, a saintly figure when compared to other monarchs.

This shouldnt be a religious thing. Be serious, these kingdoms were run by dynasties. You cant even stand dynasties within politics, or 'supreme leaders', dictators, etc. today, what makes you think you'll like them then regardless of what religion they follow? yes he too killed his brother but he is not remembered for that. He is remembered for his change in his heart and propagating non violence dedicating himself to nonviolence and Buddhism. Ashoka didn't kill normal people upon religion,ashoka didn't undermine the sovereignity of dharmic people and most importantly ashoka is a son of the soil and not from uzbekistan.
