Violence returned for violence will only escalate things, brickbats will escalate into bullets and guns, then into suicide bombing a la Kashmir.

Beating people up is not the way to deal with this, it will create more seething resentment.

These people playing with brickbats have absolutely nothing to lose, their backs are against the wall.

They will escalate.

How far is BJP/RSS willing to go? Look at Kashmir (and Palestine).

Things will continue and drag down India's reputation as a civil society.

India needs to change its mediaeval means to discipline criminals.

How about respecting religious freedom for a change?

How about stopping calling them criminals and sitting down at a table/masjid and having a discussion?

In Bangladesh our Govt. values religious harmony far more than Indian Govt. does. Muslims will defend Hindu places of worship from Miscreants. In India it is the polar opposite.

The end result of religious persecution cannot be good.

Even the US military these days have realized that working to change hearts and minds is a lot easier (less expensive) and effects longer lasting than bullets, guns or in this case torture...

Police does this during every protest that goes violent irrespective who they are and what religion they follow. Google “lathi charge” you’ll get to know that Indian Police beats everyone in such circumstances and is fine to some extent.

afaik, it's Ranchi police under Congress and Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (a tribal based party) government, not BJP police. if they're acting under BJP's orders, they would have been thrown out by now.

You agree they are criminals ,why are you bothered how they are treated.

Religious freedom doesn't mean praying in the middle of the road blocking the traffic. If someone tells you please don't pray on the road is not suppressing religious freedom.

yep. in the west the police motto is protect and serve. in india police was setup by British to suppress native dissent. that's the DNA of the police. its more complicated than what can be discussed in a forum.

The British didn't download a software in Indian heads. It's a lack of self-respect. I have said this several times.
