LAHORE: Pakistan’s director Bilal Lashari has shot his first full-length feature film called Waar, in collaboration with ISPR. The film has been produced by MindWorks Media with Hunt Lowry, producer of “Donnie Darko” and Warner Bros.’s smash hit “A Walk to Remember” and numerous other well known films.

Waar (to strike) is an action/thriller and drama film, written by Hassan Waqas Rana and stars Pakistan’s actors, Shaan Shahid and Shamoon Abbasi.

The storyline has been inspired by the war on terror in Pakistan and its effects on the world but with a very stylised interpretation of it.

The English-language film (Waar) has been shot at various locations in and outside of Pakistan, from the beautiful hills of Islamabad to the second best tourist destination in Pakistan, Lahore to the fascinating valley of Swat (the Switzerland of Pakistan), where a major military operation was launched two years ago.

The estimated film budget is $2,000,000 (PKR 170M or 17 Crores). The film being produced by one of the major film studios in America, Warner Bros, will be first screened at some major international film festivals and after its successful screening at the festivals, it will be released worldwide.

The 140 min feature film is currently in it’s post-production stage. Waar is expected to have a summer release.

Is that Shaan's last name? I thought it was just Shaan.

Yes we can never have a hit without Shaan:

I wish Pakistan's movie industry all the best :pakistan:

Pakistan’s premier music video director – Bilal Lashari – is working these days on his debut full length feature film ‘Waar ’ – to strike, in association with media production company Mind Works Media(MWM) and ISPR. The film is said to be released by World’s acclaimed Film Making Company Warner Bros .

Waar is an action filled, drama and thriller movie and its story is based on the currently ongoing ‘War against terrorism’ issue and its effects on the World. It is ironic to note here that the film is made in collaboration of ISPR.

The cast of the movie includes one of iconic Pakistani Actor Shaan Shahid, along with Shamoon abbasi ( an actor turned producer who is also producing a Pakistani Movie GIDH). A new hot actress Sadia Hayat Khan will play the lead actress role in the movie. Sadia has worked in various Pakistani drama serials such as Yariyan and Khuda Aur Mohabbat.

Upon simple search on Google, we managed to find this picture of this hot beauty. But we are still not sure whether She is the same girl featuring in the movie.
We give Benefit of doubt to it as we found the director’s requirement for actress somewhere over internet, it reads:

Director: Bilal Lashari. Looking for sexy female actress to play ‘Zoya’ a double agent working in Pakistan. Must be willing to expose skin. Athletic a plus, Speaking Italian a plus.

It’s not confirmed whether Bilal himself posted this classified, but! the girl in question(Sadia) very much meets the criteria asked above. She is sexy; Willing to expose skin; and Athletic too! we are just not sure if she speaks Italian also, as the picture is not speaking any language.

Coming back to the topic, Waar will be first screened at some international film festivals where World’s most popular celebrities will also be among attendees. After its successful screening at the festivals, the movie will be released worldwide by American Film Company Warner Bros. According to IMDB, the expected Film Budget is $2,000,000 (PKR 170M or 17 Crores).

It’s still not clear when the movie will hit the cinemas in Pakistan and which company will distribute it.

Keep checking this blog as we will update as soon as we get some more updates regarding WAAR.

Here are some screen-shots we captured from the WAAR movie trailer: ( Visit MWM’s Official Website for Film Trailers)

what is this ?
I suspect this is going to be another bullsh!t movie in line with Khuda ke Liyay aimed to promote the American WOT in Pakistan showing Mullahs as crazy fanatic people who have to be fought against n crushed and madrassahs as religious cults where kids are radicalized n brainwashed to embark on jihad journey's nonsense.

No wonder its made by the Warner Bros and Starred Shaan who acted in about every anti-islamic movie made in Pakistan.

I think films Bol and khuda k liyea although are well directed and acted movies but have some serious flaws in stories written by shoib mansoor who tried to present his personal philosophy and view of Islam(which is mostly negative) on bigger screen. In bol he was questioning to God about his ability to giving rizq to his creation by forbidding family planning, then you had his personal views about perda, abortion, music, terrorism etc

I dont think any one will ever dare to make a movie on terrorism of bush/america or terrorism of iSraeli which Palestinian faced on daily basis ..

Only commusist russia and islamic terrorism is theme of hollywood /bollywood/lollywood movie lol
