And more because of ego of both countries.. USA mainly and Iran too, little bit.. Iran should give respect to POV of their friends..
They should ask Russia or China or any other country with which they have good relation, before taking aggressive stance on world stage. Now Russia is sliding her self away from Iran ... they want good relation with EU countries as their trade is increasing with them .. and they are in neighborhood.. if Iran can keep quite for some time and do little bit less publicity about their intentions and progress .. that may help situation to get calm soon... Iran needs to learn to behave on world stage ... in current situation many countries can stand with Iran .. but if situation get worst where they block water way .. that will provoke Arab countries, USA and EU.. then what .. India , China,Pakistan and Russia all will just see next show in Iran .. can't help much .. right now Iran don't need help in nuclear program .. so just do it .. don't shout it .. as India and Pakistan did ..
And both countries have election in next 1 year.. so leaders are doing many things for public consumption ..

USA public is wary of war, a war with Iran will be the first challenge the USA has had since Vietnam. Iran offered a deal where it said in exchange for removing sanctions Iran would halt it's Nuclear program.

Just for one nation's view for Iran .. we India , China and Pakistan can't afford to give up Iranian oil.. Energy in form for our countries is growth engine.. and cost of energy is tightly coupled with inflation .. we can't afford to suffer 2.5+ billion ppl to suffer just bcos some country on other side of world don't know how to resolve issues diplomatically..

One thing is for sure USA can't repeat a war like they did in Iraq without UN behind them and for that they need China and Russia not to veto but the Israeli lobby in USA is very powerful they fund elections so im unsure what will happen now.

But if war does happen it will drive up the price of Oil and thats the last thing America needs.

It would be much worse then Iraq, I agree a likely veto from Russia and us however if USA invaded Iran it would be the first Real challenge the USA has had since Korea and Vietnam. Question is how many Americans will die in this war ?

They wont invade Iran like they did in Iraq they will take out their nuclear stations and other ground assets that pose a threat.
