Neither India or Pak have a stealth aircraft platform as of now. How would that help anyway ? Both countries have second/retaliatory strike capability afaik, on paper India has a slight edge even with their SSBNs.

Ok, in a sense one may argue that it (nuclear war) is always an option but get real, that is just MAD hubris talk.

I just gave an example, if 20 or 30 years ago one country was able to develop game changing weapon. They could have successfully taken out other country nuclear sites. Even if one manage to fire few Nukes. It wouldn’t be the end of the country.

Now radars are powerful enough to somewhat track stealth fighter. Who know US might use EMP technology to disable Chinese military during conflict.

Chinese are making strides in Quantum technology. Who know what surprises they are holding for the US.

That can best be described as a skirmish, it wasn't a war. Kargil wasn't a full blown war either. War would be bombing each other's mil infra and other strategic military assets.. or, god forbid, cities proper (buildings housing high ranking government and military officials and heads of state etc).. "air raid" sirens going off like back in the day.. all those have been rendered redundant.

All we've seen in recent wars has been a overly powerful NATO/USA vs countries who are no match militarily for them.

Having said that, both sides do prepare and the forces are always at the ready should it come to it, we should hope it doesn't.

Pak undoubtly has a strong and formidable army but its economy is just too bad to sustain that greatness...peaceful resolution of dispute with India will only help pak....India has bigger aspirations so it can maintain the status quo for many more decades to come somthing Pak cant afford...so its a wise call IMO.

I mean that makes sense, what will be the next war be aboit, what will be the goals that anyone can achieve, realistically none.

Another angle to this can be all the troubles Pakistan going through now, flooding and global warning disasters are imho more important.
I mean we are in the same boat(kinda pun unintended on flooding).

Lets save what land and people we have before we start a nuclear war over each other's land and kill people who might only exist because they didn't drown or die of hunger.
