WAPDA Emulates PEPCO; To Buy Bulletproof Cars

ISLAMABAD: WAPDA, in spite of facing a deficit that runs in billions, has also joined PEPCO in floating tenders for buying bulletproof cars, Geo News reported Monday.

WAPDA has issued tenders for purchasing 3 bullet-proof 7-B cars which is going to be opened on October 14.

Invitations have been called in for 4000 CC bulletproof cars which will be used by Chairman WAPDA and other high ranking officials of the organization, sources said.

How the holy F did DDWP give a go ahead on this ?

and where the hell is the AGPR ....

why can't some one launch a simple complaint in AGPR office and ask PEPCO and WAPDA to come and defend this purchase.

All it will take a single letter to AGPR and cc that to Chief Justice.

end of story, they will make this an example for times to come.

is there any honest politician or accountability officials who will openly challenge these ridiculous developments?

I can tell you the way to do it.

All such procurements have to do be done via PEPRA rules which are there to ensure transparency.
Provided that the CDWP has given approval of the project
which is based upon a go ahead from the AGPR office; located at

1. Constitution Avenue; next to federal shariat court.
2. G-8 Islamabad ; next to PTCL head quarter.

All it will take is a letter to the Auditor General of Pakistan (Revenue), pleading that the purchase of these vehicles can not be justified at a time when Ordinary Citizens of the state are subjected to zero security, no food or shelter
and that too at times of flood.

CC this letter to the chief justice, and then they will take care of it.
