'Wanted' passenger, 52, is arrested at Stansted after Heathrow-bound Pakistani jet was diverted and

.

The story doesn't make sense.

1. First they say it was a disruptive passenger.
2. then they say they arrested a man wanted on Fraud charges
3. then the article says 2 men were arrested accused of threatening to blow up the plane and presented in front of the judge that dismissed the case.

Question is if the guy was being disruptive or was wanted for fraud charges why would they need to scramble fighter jets and divert the plane. there has to be more to the story than what is being presented.

Looks like it is due to number 1.

Essex Police said the diversion had been due to reports of a disruptive passenger and was "not believed to be a hijack situation or terror matter".

if that was the case, why send fighter jets to escort the plane?
As a precautionary measure?

Also have a question, say worst case scenario, UK think the plane will be used in a terrorist attack, will the Eurofighter destroy the plane?

Sounds pathetic, because it could be a false call.

This is a developing story. Some things that get reported by the media will later turn out to be wrong. We will focus on reports from police officials and other authorities, credible news outlets and reporters who are at the scene. We will update as the situation develops.

good question, not sure of the answer, but i would presume that they will try and work out the level of the threat and if they find the risks too great then they might shot the plane down.
