Walton’s founder MD making large investments in cosmetics

Bro,

You, bluesky, ukBengali, HomoSapiens and BlackCats are a fountain of knowledge.

And put my knowledge of BD to shame.

I come here to learn but Hindu trolls keep derailing our threads!

And mods do nothing about it.

Anyway, thanks for posting the above. Enjoyed skimming through it.

I want to learn more from you guys.

Thanks Bhai. The others are far more knowledgeable than I am. But I freely admit to being ignorant on some subjects.

That is the function of a forum, to disseminate knowledge and remove misunderstandings.

Bangladesh’s schools, colleges and unis are so poor. It is a national shame.

Problem starts with our academics - they are too poor by international standards to set curriculums. Let alone develop teachers.

We should start with an English medium school in each Upazila. Hire foreign teachers for them. Adopt one of the English boards for exams and assessments.

Then gradually turn all unis to teach exclusively in English.

Otherwise we will never have the skilled manpower to industrialise. And be trapped in middle income status.

We need a ten year plan for academia!

I think we need to be realistic here.

Both India and Pakistan had massive advantages in education over BD in 1971.

India had the British favouring them to destroy Muslim power in the subcontinent.

The Pakistanis got the educated Indian Muslims migrating there in 1947 and they favoured Pakistani education over BD during 1947-1971.

BD was one of the most illiterate countries in the entire world in 1971 and with so few resources it needed to focus on primary and then secondary education.

The literacy rate is now higher than Pakistan and on par with India. As the older population who are largely illiterate die off unlike the more literate Indians of the same age, then BD will be more literate than India by the end of this decade.

BD has issues in the higher education sector for sure and now this decade it really needs to focus on improving the quality of higher education - it should be quality over quantity and only the top 5-10% of students should get a university education.

Over time things will slowly change anyway but urgent reforms are needed and we need to get rid of politics from campuses!

PS - Forget to add that the Pakistani Army killed off as many BD academics during 1971 as they could to hamper the new nation.

Abey dumbo.. You clearly don't have a head on your shoulder. You should keep the chat specific to the context of the thread. This is not your bedroom, you slum shitter.

Oye, piss drinker! Come back when I am ready to pee again!

I am not going to reply to you until I am ready to pee again!

Cosmetic business usually are lead by women entrepreneur, in Indonesia these are specialist companies. We have Wardah and Mustika Ratu. I would say biggest local companies for cosmetics, both are lead by women entrepreneurs. Wardah by Nurhayati Subarkat, and Mustika Ratu founder is Mooryati Soedibyo, currently her daughter that is lead the company

Putri Kuswisnu wardhani is now the CEO of Mustika Ratu, comes from royal Javanese family

Nowadays I am starting to have a different take on the education issue. I previously thought poor quality education is the reason for not many business successes. I now think high quality education is required for scientific and technology fields, in the business field the education that is there is good enough and even no business discipline education is not required for a successful businessman. Great business education makes great employees in businesses, they don't make great businessmen. Businessmen need international exposure.

Put them on ignore list and don't reply. Flies only come if there is poop left in the open, no poop no flies as there is no food.

Could have been a great suggestion only if we were oil rich. This is beyond our capacity. Maybe online english class can be a way. Even if our government stops hindi channels and put all english channels that may improve english. English like anyother language can be learnt through watching tv at least the communication part. In Sydney there are rohinga refugees who live around Bangladeshi suburbs, as they are exposed to english, they can communicate in english, though have no basic education.

Or look at Singaporean english, no grammer no nothing just words and they communicate. We on the other hand are obsessed with grammar, pronunciation hense a lot of people never get the courage to practice.

Yep, I called two mods on two of the threads where the trolls(India and BD) were trying to derail things and they did nothing so far.

The problem is that sensible BD posters keep engaging them and so they get fed and thereby stay active.

I have already advised against it but people keep doing it.

There are so few of them that if everyone ignored them they would eventually go away.
Guilt accepted. Will watchout in future insallah.

Thank you bro.

Very good suggestion.

Then let’s at least try at Zila level.

Even BlueSky will support taking loans for this endeavour.

I don’t want fighter jets.

Let’s build some high quality schools with proper facilities both educational and recreational.

Otherwise we have no hope!!!

oh slow down little fellow. You talk big for your size.
I am asking you to leave respectfully, this is a Bangladeshi thread and none of us want your input here. Either you stop posting here or we all will report as you are only here for trolling.

Dont take it as threat but a warning.
