Dispatches - Undercover Mosque

I posted this video on another thread but felt it deserved a separate thread as many people would have missed it. OK, its 3 years old but there is little to suggest that there has been a radical change (no pun intended) in what is being preached in mosques up and down the country. If anything, there have been an increase in the number of terror plots unearthed in the UK in the last three years and one can only assume this is linked to further radicalisation, some of which could be attributed to such hate filled sermons from mosques.

Those who have been to Birmingham will know that Green Lane Mosque has a huge congregation and its hard to believe that they would feature such speakers unless their views are endorsed by a large part of the audience. Its also worrying that some of the patrons of such mosques are so called 'moderate' organisations that have worked with the government to 'prevent' radicalisation in the past (MCB etc)

Hopefully this will also provide some explanation to those who despair at what they perceive as West's unjustified 'phobia' of Islam..There are clearly issues that both parties need to work on.

I would love to know what is preached in mosques in Pakistan-may be that will help shed some light on what motivates the likes of TTP. From what we hear in the sermons featured on this video, TTP can certainly justify attacks on the Pakistani nation and its population on the basis that they have submitted to 'man made' laws and system of governance.

Are you going to raise religious misconception or you are trying to raise fight between Sunni and Wahabbis.
What's the point this to tell here......Even in Saudia they have all mosques under control.

No..but I am trying to create a cognitive dissonance in the minds of mainstream Muslims about views held by Wahhabis, which may eventually lead to an isolation and ostracisation of this violent ideology among the believers of Islam.

Are you suggesting that its ok for any group, be it in the Saudi or in the West, to preach such ideas about women and other faiths? Its difficult to control what is being preached in mosques in Saudi but one can certainly be vigilant about what is being said in the local mosque and be alert to its influence on the local community

Do I detect a hint of sarcasm?:azn: I am no Iranian but have huge respect for the country (not for their Shiite faith if that's what you are implying) and have even visited it!
