ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has decided to include a 'none of the above' box in ballot papers for voters who are unwilling to vote for any candidate in their constituency.

Speaking to the media, Election Commission Secretary Ishtiaq Ahmed said the commission will make a request to the prime minister to have an ordinance issued for inclusion of 'none of the above' box in ballot papers for the upcoming elections.

Ahmed added that a decision on overseas Pakistanis' right to cast vote would be made on Tuesday.

During a meeting of the ECP chaired by Chief Election Commissioner Fakhruddin G. Ebrahim, it was also decided that names of 189 former parliamentarians holding unverified degrees would be posted on the ECP's website.

The meeting also decided to monitor the polling via satellite.

Just curious . What is the structure of your care taker system? Saw a thread about appointing a CT chief to punjab province. Would each of your provinces have a CT gov in place during election?

yes the whole assemblies both capital, provincial was dissolved before caretaker and as they were elected same time so they were dissolved same time

how on earth can a party can form government where it got 13% of the votes, and 30% of pakistan voted and the rest of 70% voters didnt even bother to go to election booths

so until and unless any party secures 50% of the votes of pakistan, it shouldnt be allowed to rule the country because the majority of voters didnt choose them
