Volkswagen Arteon vs Audi A5 Sportback

.
I have Audi A5 and trust me it has much better interior than any other German car in her class. I am loving every moment of driving it. Next stop for me is either A7 or Maserati ghibli.

In India it's price is like 500,000-800,000 :( and in Pakistan we don't even have a VW showroom......

That interior and the best thing i love about VW is their steering wheels!

The VW looks better than the new A5- but the older A5 looks better than both of them.

If you want a 4 seater sports car go for the Mercedes CLS or the BMW 6 series.

In Sha Allah!!! ... Right now, my focus is on Jetta 1.4 TSI thanks to the flexible financing plan. Thank GOD, Jetta has ample leg room and huge trunk. Otherwise, i would be forced to settle with Corolla since i am family man so practical car is top priority. 1.4 TSI can provide somewhat of German experience closure to the distinct dream [Audi] for the time being. :D

I'd take the BMW 3 series over both.

The parts and servicing costs for the Toyota would be much less.

But Corolla is appliance, not car. I would die of boredom if i drive Corolla everyday. I would rather kill myself than to drive Corolla. :D

In all fairness to Toyota, I feel most cars built today are built like appliances. Gone are the days when cars had character, these days most cars are built to be cheap "a to b" cars. The exception being supercars and luxury cars.

Well, my definition of appliance is meant to be reliable. It is 90s car after all. It is bullet-proof reliable. People who want reliable appliance is safer with Toyota Corolla. I am more of the driving dynamic guy; always have been and always will be. So, naturally i explore to the new territory which comes with invited calculated risk as the result. Not many people like driving so Toyota should be fine for them.

Yes, most cars are built to the cost but that is the part of the budget. Beyond budget, shell out more bucks for better trim levels. That is the way it works. I am normally more into driving dynamic so i don't care about interior design - yet at the same time i prefer classical exterior design with the engaging and peppier fun to drive. Again, that is just me.

If you import a 2nd hand from UK it will cost around 1.6-7m.

:hitwall:
don't know why VW didn't introduced UP, Polo and Golf first but went for T6 and Amarok. :disagree:

That depends on the powertrain. Is TSI engine suitable for hot climate regions? Diesel is almost becoming extinct after the diesel fiasco so that leaves it to TSI which is petrol Turbo engine.

T6 and Amarok made sense because of the possibility of diesel. Although, VW has various small diesel Turbo for commercial cars which i am not familiar with Diesel. I am guessing VW is planning to bring electric motor so maybe Pakistan might get cutting edge Electric Turbo motor along with the rest of the world thus less fiasco after Diesel fiasco.
