VN-1 Wheeled APCs are we Getting Them in Big Numbers!!

The employment of wheeled air defences and self propelled artillery systems suggests that we are adapting to these new concepts beyond the legacy of tracked vehicles. The news in the defence circles is widespread of Pakistan acquiring the Chinese VN-1 wheeled APC in good numbers(not confirmed officially yet). These eight wheeled APCs are very Versatile,Economical and easily Available at a good price. A transfer of technology can also be a good option, if we are getting them in good numbers!!. HIT which is also making/testing Hamza 6 wheeled IFV, can benefit from any future transfer of technology.

1)With 105mm assault gun

2)With Red Arrow 10 ATGM

3)With 40mm auto cannon

4)With Unmanned Turret

5)With 30mm Shipunov 2A72

There are many other variants of VN-1 APC. Even our Marines can have a look at the excellent Amphibious performance of these vehicles.

Hopefully we will acquire them with a transfer of technology option and in big numbers.These very versatile platforms can be a huge boast for our offensive capabilities in a very economical way.

Turkey is a good option, but price is higher.

Yes yes, you have been talking about atlay or whatever turkey is better but as it always turn out. Pakistan is buying Chinese armour becos no delay in delivery and maintenance due to 100% made in China from engine to crucial combat system. Most importantly , China technology is better everyday if not surpass some of the western counterpart.

Turkey is a good option, but price is higher.

It more expensive becos they need to import engine from Germany and seek permission from them. Not becos it's better than Chinese one in any sense.

We got them in huge numbers I think six seven years back at least 600 were sitting in Karachi and there were more to come a friend of mine went me a picture i posted it on here i will try to find it and post it.

VN-1 are exported widely to Royal Thai army, Venezuela, Africa. If including PA , the unit price per unit is significantly low due to mass unit produced.

With the current price tag the Chinese have recently offered to others, you never know our we might match the M113s in numbers.

There is no 55tons Altay. 65tons Altay only due to space needed for extra loader.

I would love to have VN-1 with 105mm guns in numbers to supplement our Armoured formations.
