Media is the same animal that everybody dealing with. All over the world including UK. UK media follows politicians like pests but if a minister says this, he will have problem.

Actually he is just defending himself. Media thinks they can do anything they want and get away with it. Just because he is a foreign minister doesn't mean he has to take every shit thrown at him. Now when he called them presstitutes, ye log ro ro ke chautha manane lag jaate hai!

Indeed it is true but VK Singh is in a diplomatic position and should act like it.

Having said that the media should not be allowed to shrug this off the way he said what he did was not right but the message needed to be said. But I can bet the media are now going to launch into a smear campaign against VK Singh and, despite they claim to be the champions of free speech, dismiss his comments and right to state them.

So what's wrong in what he said?

He rightly called TIMES NOW a presstitute.

Rather than seeing the work that is being done to help fellow Indians, they are pointing at a sarcastic remark he made about visiting Pak commission.

That's called Arnab's ego; not the general's mistake.

He's a soldier; he gives back in bullets. No shit.

there is no 1 guy called 'media'.. Indian media caters to all spectrum of public opinion.

Then he was simply returning the favour to the sold-out media. Simple.

Normally i would criticize a minister for using such words.
