Vivo, Oppo and Xiaomi have agreed to export India-made devices to countries around the world

.
Read the full Indian article not the summary from Gizmochina or the tweet -- it is all conjecture that papers over the real issue of how India is crippling their efforts to do anything in the country:

Vivo already started to test the waters when it comes to exports from India, although the company faced an incident recently where its products worth $15 million — that were meant for exports — were blocked by DRI over misdeclaration around the value and make of devices. The company sees the regulatory action as an “aberration”, but believes that it will not disturb its broader plans to begin exports from India.
...
When contacted, Oppo and Vivo did not comment to a detailed questionnaire on the matter.
...
Sources said that the Chinese companies are also eager to begin exports as they want to “prove their seriousness around Indian manufacturing” at a time when they face multiple regulatory challenges in India, including inquiries by the Income Tax Department and the Enforcement Directorate.

Have been a loyal customer of Xiaomi. Not gona buy after this news. Don't want to spend my money on indian economy.

.
Actually, I'd like to see those three companies exporting in volume from India because that would mean they are being treated like anyone else. But with the way India government is treating them, we have to see it first.

But that Indian Times article is BS "news."

These are Vivo's overseas factories:
India (Greater Noida)
Bangladesh (Dhaka)
Indonesia (Tangerang)
Pakistan (Faisalabad)
Turkey (Kocaeli)

They are designed for exports after fulfilling local demand. That is natural for any business. Only Vivo's Indian plant is having issues and that includes exporting to third countries because of India's government:

Don't worry. Indian gov will screw up Xiaomi's exports from India and what you buy will be from Vietnam or Turkey or China:

The objective of Xiaomi is to use its new plant in Vietnam as a centre for exports into nearby Southeast Asian nations like Malaysia and Thailand. With a market share of 22 per cent in Vietnam, Xiaomi is only surpassed by Samsung (34 per cent), as reported by GSM Arena.

1. The problem is that the creator of this thread is not quoting information from indiatimes, he is quoting information from gagadget, and gagadget citing information from gizmochina (Chinese source)

2. The content of gizmochina and indiatime has many different points. Gizmochian is not a news aggregator or news like indiatime. It is not an Indian propaganda agency.

No, it was a summary taken from the Indian article by a foreign writer with no real access to Chinese industry. The site writes mainly reviews as original content.

What fully Chinese organization revolves around Facebook and Twitter?

Anyway, that article is factually WRONG. All three companies have overseas plants they want to export from. Only in India are they having problems exporting.

.
Masters (Chinese) got their slave laborer Indians to do all the hard work while the Chinese make all the money. All the toilet cleaning jobs at Oppo and assembly tasks are given to $1 a day Indians while Chinese are making big money doing research and development and taking all profits. Indians are just not high IQ enough sadly to make their own brands and companies to compete with firms like Huawei, Oppo, Tiktok, xiaomi, BYD etc

Calm down. Baby. Just show you some threads I sent today.

We have the only complete industrial chain in the world. We are happy to help the third world countries develop their manufacturing industries. I don't have any questions.
OK, yeah China is the only country in the world where foreign countries investing int jeir country benefits them , all other countries who do the dame are losers .

LMAO so now you call other countries third world/developing countries with contempt isnt it? Thats good to see. Welcome to our club then. 🤣 Too bad China itself is still a developing country though. 😅
Plus you are not ("happy to) helping other developing countries develop, you are merely seeking your benefits and getting the best return on your investments , as much as Japan/Western countries, Taiwan, singapore etc were not investing in China just to help China develop when they invested billions and billions of dollars in China. They did so out of their own interests and they made hubfreds of billions in sales and profit from China as well . No country invest in the other to help them as you put it. Seems to me like you have become very condescending to other developing countries just because you have now started coming out of poverty yourselves recently. Lol

No only Vivo, here is Oppo factory in Indonesia. The Manager said the factory produce 1.5 million of handphone every month. You can use English automatic translation

I bought new Samsung handphone in early 2022 and it is said made in Indonesia (as other Samsung handphone overseas factory we know it is more like assembling despite some component is said made locally in Indonesia)

What a big joke! lol.

Western countries have blocked and sanctioned China for 73 years. Taiwan has all of China's gold reserves. Japan got a lot of Chinese resources from the war. You said, "If China can benefit from foreign investment, why can't other countries?"

Why not let other countries enjoy the 73 year sanctions and blockades first?

Why not steal all the gold reserves of other countries first?

Why don't you invest in Iraq, Syria and Libya destroyed by large-scale wars(like China in 1911-1949)???

yeah. This is a good question ~ "If China can, why can't other countries?".

so..... What have these countries done in 75 years?? Are they also sanctioned and blocked? They never got foreign investment in 75 years?

in any case. Chinese investment has come. I just hope these countries will not waste another 75 years.

oh Baby, China has never been considered a third world country. last. I wish you happiness in this cold winter.

Xiaomi makes over 10M phones in Batam, Indonesia and it serves all of SEA.

Just like Vivo and Oppo, all these plants are meant for exports after serving the local market.

That Indian story is complete BS bordering on lies. All three companies always expect to export from their overseas plants but only in India is there a problem.

In fact, they are no longer looking to expand in India but in other countries:

This is the real story:

OPPO's reported Egypt deal 'may herald exodus' of Chinese mobile firms from India

Chinese smartphone maker OPPO's reported deal to set up a plant in Egypt may herald an exodus of Chinese mobile phone firms from India amid the country's escalating crackdown on Chinese companies, an industry insider said on Wednesday.

For brands that are heavily reliant on the overseas market to generate a significant portion of their revenue, OPPO's memorandum of understanding with the Egyptian government to set up a $20 million smartphone facility may be a pacesetter, a Chinese executive based in India told the Global Times.
...
Chinese smartphone brands are also looking at Indonesia, Bangladesh and Nigeria as replacements for India, the executive said, noting that companies will evaluate bilateral ties, market potential, preferential policies and labor costs, in that order.

OPPO's reported move comes as India is apparently upping the ante in cracking down on Chinese companies operating in the Indian market.

Xiaomi, Vivo and Oppo will be exporting a lot -- not from India though but from Indonesia, Vietnam, Turkey, Egypt, etc.
