Nay, not even Korean Chinese want to be associated with the South Koreans. North Koreans are better liked though.

As for the Japanese, as long as they continue to use Han characters and teach Chinese texts in their high school Japanese classes, Chinese will continue to feel a certain degree of cultural affinity. But except a few weebs who watched too much anime, few Chinese consider the repressive, conformist and hierarchical Japanese society as anywhere near developed.

Have the Japanese or the Koreans told you that personally? How else would you know. Have the Chinese told you we want to be associated with them either? Have any Koreans told you they want to be associated with the Japanese? I do not think any of these people would even tell an Indian or anybody of such thing as association with any neighbor. Does any country want to be associated with the Indian race? If you are bored you can always go outside and pick a little girl to rape, it is much more healthy than pouring your anger towards China.

Reading into the points made in the article, one sees lots of words with little meaning. It takes regular state visits as something of great significance and make unsubstantiated claims such as its "impressive" non-permanent UNSC seat or success as a chair of ASEAN.

Typical Indian mentality; little substance but huge grandeur. Capability, size and stamina do not match the ambition.

One would like to see numbers, such as the fact that China Mainland-Vietnam trade has grown 18.5% in the first quarter of 2020, which makes it the largest among BRI countries.

Vietnam is not East Asian though. There are just four East Asian countries: China, Japan and the two Koreas. Vietnam is Southeast Asian and Mongolia is North Asian.

Where did you get this idea. Vietnam is not only East Asian, but also part of the historical Confucius area.

Vietnam is in SEA. China is in NEA. SEA (ASEAN region) and NEA together make up East Asia.

I agree 100 percent with you that Vietnam falls under the Sinosphere and have mentioned it on this forum over the years but I have always been rebuffed by Vietnamese. @Viet . They can be like wayward grandchildren playing in the gutter with Indu kids and need a good old fashioned monkey smacking to bring into Line. I wish Vietnamese all the best but they pray for Chinese downfall.

Vietnam is not short of its own traitors. Possibly they are the loudest, as well. Hence, this is the impression we get.

One thing I would especially not wish Vietnam to be infected with (due to its alleged intimacy with the likes of India) is anti-intellectualism.

The article makes a claim as to investment leaving China. Yet, numbers over the past three quarters do not indicate investment outflow. Although FDI (inflow) is not a perfect tool to understand without seeing outflows, we can safely presume that a positive (and growing) inflow suggests confidence and positive FDI balance.
