Minimum month salary for normal Chinese workers are around 1500-2000 RMB or 250-300USD per month..
2USD per day is only 360 RMB per month.
I believe my parents earn than amount 20 years ago

It's true. Who get the job as worker, get paid 250-300 a month as minimum. How about cleaners, students and under, oldies, farmers...
Official data show us about 70 - 80 million earn less than 1.1 usd per day, then few hundred million earn less than 2 usd per day is logical.

The salary of China is increasing very fast every year..
If you look maybe five year ago, the salary will be much lower..
I remember when I was in high school in 2000, I get 400 RMB per month from my parents..
And in 2003 when I enter university, I get 1000 RMB per month.
There will be people poorer than me, but 400 RMB today is really small money
