Vietnam wary of plea to expand Chinese currency transactions

i totally understand their nationalism but why bring it out every time in geopolitical discussions.... :hitwall::hitwall::hitwall:
it's so difficult to have meaningful discussions with Viets here...:(

Let's dissect the problem and see what is it, frankly speaking I find more difficulty in properly communicating with another neighbor which is utmostly delusional, obsessive, rude and stupidly low IQ.

About Viets, the problems seem centered around nationalism, or to be more precise a "victim mentality". They portraited themselves as victim of territorial dispute, victim of colonialism, and we are portraited as the victimizer. My suggestion is that we break this erroneous perception of reality.

I think only a Vietnam member Viet is reasonable.
that's why i only tried with him....

i think they also have some sort of identity crisis. they are like Taiwanese now....being irrationally anti-China to show that they are different from Chinese...

not so much about identical crisis but as shotgunner have mentioned already being David vs Goliath mentality. Their history is filled with being dominated by foreign powers and invasions from Chinese/Mongolians/French/Japanese and Americans. So it's natural they face this inferiority complex by showing a strong sense of nationalism by boasting how they have defeated their opponents all by themselves ignoring the truth (historical facts). That is why it's very difficult to reason with them, mission impossible i'd say.

Very true. Now imagine their entire country has this inferiority complex/siege mentality. There's not a single Viet in Vietnam that can objectively approach a problem they're facing without going completely hysterical and violent.

Small wonder, then, that Vietnam is a worse place to live than Syria. I'm not even kidding. Check out the human development index rankings.

Vietnam is lower than Syria and Syria has a 3 year old civil war, no infrastructure, and ISIS beheading everyone. But Vietnam is ranked lower.

nice, if you believe civil war increases HDI, then pls feel free and visit Syria as tourist :D

Saudia Arabia has higher HDI than China. Not too bad, hats off to the Saudi sheiks. From the news today, a critical blogger is sentenced to 10 years in prision, $200,000 fine and 1,000 lashes. maybe Xi Jinping wants to copy from the Saudi to increase China´s HDI? :enjoy:

Seems you've forgotten all Vietnamese's panic during the 1997 Asian Economic Crisis......It was US who robbed of all your property, not China...Don't forget at that time US was not in such heavy debt like present. US(or more accurately, the Wall Street) is a robber, and now it gets more avid for money, so who will get attacked first? The second-biggest economy, China, with strict financial rules and used to succeed in defending economic attack, or Vietnam, a mid-scale economy without effective anti-attack methods? If I'm in charge of Goldman Sachs, I won't be so silly to attack China first, at least I'd like to attack Vietnam first. Maybe China will get attacked, but I think at that time Vietnam will have already been robbed of all you property and turned into a beggar country.
The world is still under the shadow of the Wall Street, and those mid-economies like Vietnam are still their targets. Seems the whole SEA is booming now but they're just like fat sheeps, those bigs in Wall Street are hungry for their meat. Just store some CNY as those Vietnamese living near China do...or if you're rich enough, gold will be a good choice. Oh damn it why should I teach you these, I'd like to see you become beggars, so just forget my words and keep daydreaming about that China is going to collapse and Vietnam will benefit from it.....
VNese were panic in 1997 Asian Economic Crisis ?? Did u live in VN during that time ?? dont blah blah when u know Nothing.

VN got Russia protection, The oil war between Russia-US is just the war between US and Putin. If Putin win, then he will keep protecting VN, if Putin lose, then new Russia Govt. still protect VN . China is much easier target and it will collapse when TPP come to reality :pop:

Oh sorry it's my fault, it was Thai that suffered from it. I always forget that VN is still a communist country since you now definitely look like Americans' dog.
Rely on Russia? Well you really have found your master...let's see in what price will Russia sell you.

actually thing is very easy. since millennium Vietnam as a country only wants 3 things from China: peaceful coexistence, mutual respect and equality. but seem that is not what you want. That sucks.

Yes, mission impossible.

How on earth did you come to the conclusion that "civil war increases HDI"? Viet education on display perhaps? I was pointing out the fact that despite a civil war, ISIS terrorism, and complete lack of infrastructure, Syria is still better than Vietnam. The conclusion you should be drawing from my comparison is: "Why is Vietnam so terrible that it can't even beat a place where ISIS runs amok in terms of HDI?" Also, Iraq is a better place to live than Vietnam. :pop:

troll hardeeeer. I bet you even don´t know what HDI is :D

You know what's so sad about Viet? He keeps hammering on how China is pushing Vietnam to Japan or USA camp and whether we can afford to do so. Vietnam does not have a choice but to stay on good terms with China. Vietnam does not want to lose the Russian friendship nor is she willing to allow hosting a military base for the Americans. The only thing he can do is trying to call his bluff on China. Unfortunately it doesn't work, Japan has already succumbed to China when Abe admitted there's a dispute in order to meet Xi and restore Sino-Japanese relations which took a dive after his mistake of "nationalizing" Diaoyu island. You should have seen that Vietcong was totally convinced China needs Japan more than vice versa. Chinese factory workers out of work and Japanese companies moving out of China to Vietnam
These Vietcongs are full of delusions, one dreams about the sub mekong and the other dreams about a join coalition with Japan/USA to contain China and fantasizing about the donation of Arleigh Burke Destroyers from uncle Sam. These Viets are full of sh*t

But it's funny as hell.
