Vietnam to Buy More Missiles

A source close to the Russian Finance Ministry says Vietnam is negotiating with Russia to buy Russian weapons on credit.S "One of the parties to the contract will be NPO Mashinostroenia. That role is defined for the NPO and the company is negotiating with Vietnam to provide a system Bastion. " This source also said the transfer of missiles to Vietnam can take place not earlier than in 2013-2014 .

Vietnam is buying really capable anti-ship missiles.. I wonder why ..?

The K-300P (Bastion-P) coastal missile system uses SS-N-26 (P-800 Onyx), export version of Yakhont supersonic antiship missile.

Bastion-P Coastal defence missile system..It uses Yakhont supersonic antiship missile.

Sadly the production line of Brahmos is busy in fulfilling our own demands otherwise we could have supplied them . May be by the time Mark-2 enters production, we will have enough missiles to supply them to friends in need.

Many countries including Vietnam and Malaysia are interested in the Brahmos.
