pho is a bit overrated. there are a lot more of good vietnamese dishes, you should try. usually you spend more money for food in restaurants than on the streets. why not watch out for street food? all of goodies from pho to french sandwiches will cost between 1 or 2 dollars.Pho is very popular in the west. When I traveled in Vietnam I had Pho for most meals and the only Chinese food I had in Vietnam was in Saigon, one Chinese restaurant near that church in Chinese district where PM? of South Vietnam prayed before being murdered. 3 very basic dishes there cost me $25, I wanna cry at that time!
But guesthouses and budge hostels were reasonably priced in Vietnam, mostly $15-25 per night. Just transportation prices were not cheap at all, like the train ticket of reunification express and taxi in Nha Trang. I guess it was because Nha Trang is a tourist city?
yes, nha trang is favorite spot for tourists. I once lived there when I was a young boy.
all projects are carried out mostly by local vietnamese companies. if money comes from japan ODA, the japanese government requires japanese companies and workers are to be involved, too. These are beautiful pics. Were these the infrastructure built by Japanese investors through ODA?
