look at our neighbor laos. for centuries, as a landlocked and weak nation, she has to chose between vietnam, china and thailand. which country to ally with? and surprisingly, laos always choses vietnam.

why? because the people of laos know, at the end of the day, vietnam will always prevail. the laotians place their total trust on vietnam. the french, americans, chinese and siamese lost the wars against vietnam because they failed to win the battle over laos.

the pinoys should place trust on vietnam.

You also need to know a lot countries have learnt to play smart.
Sometime it is better not to choose side but play smart (classic example in the region is SG) unless you have incompetence leaders in the country.

President Aquino hasn't revealed anything new at all.

If anything, it confirms that VietNam has not backed down from the SCS dispute, like some members here think. VN is the one working hard and taking the initiative to counter China in the SCS dispute.

This is a one side statement from pinoy. They are playing the cheap shot of dragging the VCP down when they stop siding with PHILIPPINE on SCS. VCP is more interested in having more trade with China to increase the prosperity of ordinary vietnamese.

Hint? Has vietnam say anything regarding to aquinos comment? Nothing. Aquino is just lying to dtag vietnamese down.
