As I said, half the Vietnamese people in southern Vietnam, and most Vietnamese people are not communist ...

Vietnam War was the result of ideological conflict between two blocks: communism and capitalism, and as a result of the interference of foreign countries into Vietnam including China, the US...

So, if there is no communist China, will not have so-called Domino, and the U.S did not worry about it, then there was no Vietnam war.

Vietnam War has the deep reasons from China. In 1954, communist China did handshake French to divide Vietnam into 2 parts although Vietnamese did not want this, and that is the beginning of the devastating Vietnam war.
Americans worry about Domino communist China, led to intervene in the south.
Then taking advantage of Vietnam was flooding in the war, China has robbed Paracel Islands from Vietnam. Then China incited Khmer Rouge to attack Vietnam, and then it attack Vietnam for the purpose help the Khmer Rouge.
We all know about the "help" from China to Cambodia in the years 1975-1979, resulting in 3 million Camdodian people were killed.

So, stop screaming about China's "help"!

Actually most of those landmines were planted by Vietnamese themselves to slow down US or Chinese troops advance,but it turned out that they shot themselves in the foot.an easy solution proved to be a future disaster.

You are wrong that China would stay out of the game and let hostile Western forces station at its door. That’s impossible. But perhaps you are right that China should let Vietnam divided, just as today’s Korea.

That is funny considering the Viets here came to this forum AFTER the Chinese have already established their reputation as racists and warmongers. We can only wonder about the psychology of those who were rejected from military conscription and yet talk as if they are reincarnations of past Chinese myths.
