Video: When Tesla unleashes M3P batteries it could be GAME OVER...

. .

The "Tesla killer" BYD Han EV has not been a winner. The car has been on the market since I think July 2021 and this is what the sales were last month (and remember this was a stellar month for BYD):

Sodium battery will be the real game changer.

The winner will be any battery that is light, can be cheaply produced, and can fit in the gaps of your car's body panels...even if it is 50% less efficient.

If you could buy a car today that gets 300 miles and has some "magical battery foam" that can be sprayed into the gaps between the body panels for only $100 and lowers the cost of your car by $15,000 then that will certainly be a winner.

Hell even if they lose their charge after 5 years if the only thing needed is to unscrew the body panels off and scrape 80% of it out and spray another layer for $100 then hey that could be a simple do-it-yourself job.

I personally think this whole thing with a stack of close to 5,000 individual batteries under the floor is ridiculous. They are going the wrong route.
