Video of F-35B Lightening II deck operations on USS Wasp

Then please tell me who is an expert in your eyes ? Keeping in mind most capabilities of military planes are kept hidden.

Carlo Kopp has a known bias against the F-35. He is not a good source to get your views on it from.

A couple of things. Even though the F22 is in service it doesn't mean the US automatically ditched all their F15s. The F15 production line is still alive after 40 years and is supposed to stay open until at least 2019.

The F22 production line is already closed. It can't be shared with anybody else (like the F117). The 6th gen replacement for it is already in the works.

So I think we already are using a combination of high (F22 and F15) and when the F35 arrives we will be using a mix of low (F35 and F16) depending upon the need.

It looks like the F16 and f18 production lines may close in 2020. That means that after 2020 the US will only be offering F35s for export.
