Nice - Saw a operator with beard who was not a sikh (no turban). Does IA allow this ? I always thought that they were clean shaven ?

These are SF- slightly more lax grooming standards can be expected. It is known Indian SOFs grow beards when on duty in JK to conduct covert ops.

There is a difference - Maj. Mohit Sharma was on active duty and was on ground - These chaps are training - so one would think that Due importance would be given to grooming.

Finally - i think this video is incorrectly stated . This vid is for para troopers battalion and not the elite Para SF. There is a difference in the training that para sf undergoes. My thoughts.

Other than the last 30 seconds, the whole program was wasted by NDTV in getting their own guy to do stuff. Loved the last 30 seconds.

I agree this looks to be ordinary PARA training and I don't recall seeing any SF tags.

I 100% another wasted opportunity by NDTV, similarly with the "Jai Jawan" series the shows focus on the "celebrity" and not the forces and have, on the whole, ignorant presenters who do little to educate the audience beyond stating the obvious. This particularly annoyed me in the recent one with Ranbir Kapoor with the airhead presenter. Thankfully there were still some great moments of SF in that vid but there could have been SO much more and a little more expansion on what was going on would have helped. Additonally this guy's 2 vids on NSG had some great images but again focused too much on training!!

Yeah I was impressed too!! And Helmet mounted NVG! It seems ALL Indian SOF weapons nowadays have holographic sights!! For ~15,000 strong force (all wings) and at $500 a pop that's a nice amount spent on SOFs (not including NSG which is similarly getting such sights and the fact there are likely to be much more than a 1-1 ratio for weapons to users).
