Inherently there are more complications/restrictions while trying to land/take-off from these
areas, even jet engines which would otherwise work good in normal conditions sometimes fail
in these regions.

I do think this is yet the highest-altitude landing/take-off conducted by C-130 variants so far,
someone correct me if I'm wrong.

High altitude flight/landing usually means you must fly lighter (less payload) as the rarified atmosphere demands greater power demand on your engines.

In case of any emergency you have very little reserve power to deal with it.

Yes and apart from thing said by Abingdonboy, landing at such altitude also demands caution and superb landing skills(as runways are not very long in these regions)

It is very risky to operate an aircraft in high altitude runways because of two reasons,


1) at higher altitude, the air is very thin(less density and pressure)..so the required take off and landing speeds are more than that in sea level.So to achieve this we need a long runway.

2) also since the air is thinner,the engines will not produce enough power..so we may need some sort of thrust augmentation devices like afterburners,which is not possible in turbo-prop engines.
