VHP man Abhishek Yadav caught in burqa molesting women; beaten black and blue

A Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) man was caught in a burqa during a religious meeting in Allahabad’s Mauaima area after he molested a woman. However, the woman concerned raised the alarm and the men gathered there caught the person and asked for the garment to be removed – the incident happened on Saturday around midnight.

Muslims had been participating in a programme called to commemorate Muharram and male and female members of the community were sitting separately.

The women gathered there took things in their own hands and ripped off the burqa revealing the VHP man by the name of Abhishek Yadav. Some people in the crowd recognised him as the office-bearer of VHP and started thrashing him mercilessly. Fortunately, for Yadav, some members of the Muslim community stepped in to rescue him before he was killed.

The police was called and they took Yadav to hospital where he is recovering.

There was a second burqa-clad person accompanying Yadav, but he escaped before the locals could catch him.

Police have lodged an FIR against Yadav for eve-teasing and also for disturbing a religious assembly. However, Yadav too has lodged one against 7 people persons for thrashing him
